First thing to point out is that the V bar chains are gonna be probably your most aggressive chains. They're gonna have the most bite and the most grip and traction. So if you're somewhere that gets a lot of ice or heavy snow, these are probably the best chains for you to use. These chains are in a ladder pattern. more

Today we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install these Glacier Chain twist link snow tire chains with cam tensioners, on our 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe. So this is gonna be a twist link chain. What that means is that the actual links that go across the tire are gonna be twisted. This is gonna make them a little less of a bumpy ride, compared to a square link or a D link that has hard edges. But that does also mean that this won't bite into deep ice as well, just because it's a bit smoother and less aggressive. more

How's it going everyone It's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at our Titan Chain Cable Chains on our 2022 Chevrolet Malibu. These chains are gonna be a roller style of chains which the dealer typically recommends, because they give you the most clearance in the back in the wheel well area. So, as far as that goes, it's what they recommend. But as far as longevity goes and using them over the course of a few seasons, it may not be the best choice. The reason why these chains might not last as many seasons is because it's made of a low carbon steel which isn't nearly as rust or corrosion resistant. more

These are gonna be an assisted tensioning chain, which means that the tensioner is built into the chain itself and it doesn't apply a sort of constant tension. These are gonna be a self tensioning tire chain which means that they've got the tensioning device built into it and it's going to be applying constant pressure with this elastic band pulling it tight as we go down the road. So if things are to shift on the tire as we're driving, it's going to be pulling on it constantly to ensure a good snug fit. Let's check it out. Pewag Snox Pro Snow Tire Chains Review - 2022 Chevrolet Malibu- Video
How's it going It's Ethan at etrailer here, and today, we have our pewag Snox Pro Self-Tensioning Tire Chains on our 2022 Chevrolet Malibu. These tire chains are a solid entry level choice, they are diamond pattern, which gives you more coverage on the road, and they're a decent choice for inclement weather, including ice and snow. With the diamond pattern, you get more coverage of the tire, so you get a little bit more traction, and you also get less bumpiness compared to a ladder style chain. The links of the chains themselves are square, which is good on the flat side for biting into ice, and the way that they interlink with one another is also good for preventing snow clumping. The chains themselves are made of a manganese nickel alloy, which is gonna protect your chains for multiple seasons from rust and corrosion. The interlinks also have a protective coating that's just gonna protect your fingers when you're putting it on in the ice and cold conditions, so your hands don't get stuck to the actual chains themselves. more

Today, we're taking a look at our Konig Snow Tire Chains. These are the CG9 tire chains, making them low-profile, as well as self-tensioning. We'll see them here on our 2012 Chevrolet Sonic. While the Sonic isn't really a vehicle you would expect that would need tire chains, sometimes, especially in certain states, it's required to have tire chains on your vehicle before you can continue. Also, if you're going through snow, you're going through ice, you're gonna need that extra traction on the road, and that's where these can come in handy. These are probably the easiest low-profile snow tire chains that I know of, that can fit for the Chevrolet Sonic. more

Hey everyone, Charles here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the Konig Premium Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains on the 2020 Chevrolet Equinox. These are your diamond pattern style chains, so it's gonna give you a lot of a smoother ride compared to your ladder style tire chains. It has these bridges right here that break the ice and the square D-links give you really good traction in deep snow. So I do like the ratcheting style self-tensioning system. Once we got it on here, it's not gonna go anywhere until we take it off. I just did not like the installation process. more

Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Titan chain heavy duty snow tire chains on our 2019 Chevrolet Traverse. So these chains are gonna be rated for on-road and off-road use. So these aren't the most aggressive changes you can get because you can get the V-Bar chains which literally just have spike on the outside of them. You can also get the studded chains which are also super aggressive, but on-road use with those, you're gonna kinda scuff up your driveway if you have some pavement there. I don't suggest that. I think these are pretty much the best value when it comes to chains. more

Hello, neighbors. It's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the Titan Chain Snow Tire Chains on a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD. Now, if you've never used tire chains in the snow on a vehicle, these are gonna be an awesome addition if you live in an area where there's snow on the ground quite often, and sometimes they're actually legally required in certain areas. Now, if you generally don't drive in the snow, but want to be prepared if snow does come, these are also nice, 'cause you can kinda keep these in your car and get them installed pretty quickly. Now, immediately they're gonna give you better traction for starting and stopping, and that's accomplished by using this ladder style. Now that's gonna give you kind of a paddle-like effect to get into the snow, to get you that traction. more

So these are a ladder-pattern style chain, what that means is we're just gonna have these cross chains going across. So these are gonna leave a little bit of gap. So we are gonna kinda go from chain to rubber to chain to rubber. These aren't gonna be the smoothest of all the chains that you have. But when it comes to ladder rack or ladder-pattern style chains, this is gonna be fairly smooth, because we do have the twist links. more

What does that mean Well, we just have these cross chains going across. So these are gonna be a little bit more rough than some of the other ones that make a diamond pattern just because with these, we're gonna go from chain to tire, to chain to tire, as we rotate around. So it's gonna be a little bit rougher of a ride compared to some of the other ones, definitely gonna give you more traction than some of the cable tire chains. What's going on, everybody Adam here with etrailer today, we have a 2022 Chevrolet Colorado, and we're gonna be taking a look at the Konig Premium Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains. If you're looking for my favorite snow tire chain of all the ones we carry here, this is it, it's really quick and easy to install, and it's just definitely an upgrade from some of the other types of tire chains that we have on our website. One thing that's kind of unique to these, we have these icebreakers here, so if it is kind of icy out to, these big steel plates are going to crush that up, so you can get some traction, and we do have some diamond patterns, so we're not really gonna be going from chain to tire that often, so it's gonna be a little bit smoother of a ride compared to the some of the more aggressive chains. This is gonna to get the job done. You're gonna to get unstuck in mostly any situation. If you we're to go with something, maybe you want something a little more rugged and off road, you can go with some of the other ones but it's gonna be not near as easy of an install, or it's not gonna be not near as smooth of a ride. more

Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we'll be taking a look at our Glacier Cable snow tire chains here on our 2013 Chevrolet Cruz. So since your Chevrolet Cruz has really limited clearance around your tire, if you do or are required to have snow tire chais or some kind of traction device, you're gonna need very low profile snow tire chains. And that's what Glacier chain cable chains are made for. You can see how instead of links or chains these have rollers all on their cable and that means you do still get that traction for when it's snowy, when it's icy on the road without taking up too much space behind your tire. So what we have here are steel rollers wrapped around wire cross cables. So those steel rollers as well as those cables are going to be made of a low carbon steel. more

What's going on everybody Adam here with etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Konig standard snow tire chain on a 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe. What we have here is a diamond pattern tire chain. So, we're going to have these nice diamond patterns going all the way around, and they're gonna be connected with these cross chains so that's gonna be great for turning if you put them on the front, and also on the back it's just gonna get us a little bit more traction than some of those ladder pattern style chains. They are going to be dual-sided D links, and made up manganese nickel alloy steel. So they're going to be extra strong and resist against all that salt and grime and stuff that you'll see on the road with the snow. more

So if you're looking for something that's gonna be great for the really icy snow, really deep snow. These are gonna get you the most aggressive grip whenever you're trying to get unstuck. And if we take a quick look at these chains, actually as you can see, they are all square. And basically what this is going to do, there are no V-Bars so they're not going to be clawing really deep into that thick ice and snow. But they are going to give you really good traction in any kind of medium you're going to be working with. It is made of a nice sturdy material has good zippers. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains on our 2021 Chevrolet Equinox.If your state requires that you have chains in your vehicle, these will fit your Equinox's tires, and these are a 225/65R17. This does come in a pack of two. Comes in a carrying case. It's not too easy to get these chains back in there, and I have seen these zippers kind of break on these, so if you're really shoving the chains in there, it might break over time. We do have other options on our website, so definitely go ahead and check those out.This is going to be a ladder pattern snow tire chain, and it's not really going to be the most aggressive, if not the least aggressive, chain you can put on there. more
